Joss

Joss has been tattooing professionally since 2014, but his art career started long before that. Growing up in Cuba, he studied fine arts and spent years drawing, painting, and sculpting in clay. Tattooing came almost by accident: a friend saw his work, told him he had serious talent, and suggested they open a shop together. That one conversation turned into a career of more than a decade. After moving to the States, Joss went shop to shop looking for the right home. One artist looked at his portfolio and told him he knew a place that could take his work to the next level. That place was Ink Addiction, and he’s been part of the family ever since.

Joss can work in just about any style, from full color and fine line to traditional and lettering, but black and grey realism is his favorite. He loves building depth and texture with nothing but shades of grey, and he often mixes realism with abstract elements and bold pops of color. His dream booking is a big custom project like a full sleeve or large-scale realism piece that he can design around the body. In the chair, he keeps it friendly and laid-back, matching each client’s energy, whether that means swapping stories or just vibing to music while he locks in on the details. Outside the shop, you’ll find him at the gym, gaming, or checking out motorcycles.
