Nina

Originally from the green hills of Kentucky, Nina brings 36 years of tattooing experience and a background in Fine Art at the University of Missouri to her work.

Her interest in tattooing began in the early ’80s while watching her husband receive a beautiful back piece from Tatts Taylor. She started designing custom pieces for Taylor’s studio, then began a free apprenticeship with the amazing Uncle Scully at Outrageous Tattoo in 1990.

In 1993, Nina opened her own art gallery and custom tattoo studio. After seven and a half successful years, an attack while closing the shop changed her path. She went on to work for Bruce Bart before Donna, owner of Ink Addiction, invited her to join the crew. She’s been part of the Ink Addiction family for 26 years.

Nina prefers realistic and intriguing custom designs in grey wash or color. She especially enjoys large florals, badass black and grey sleeves on arms or legs, and vintage or historical designs. Memorial tattoos and artwork that helps people through hard times hold a special place in her work. Above all, she wants every client to feel comfortable and safe.

Outside the shop, Nina loves her amazing family, music, her Fine Art studio and gallery, her hound dog Red, and the great outdoors.
